Privacy Policy

Ravns is the iPhone app published by Uxsherpa LLC. This policy explains, plainly, what data the app uses and why. The short version: your health and training data is used to coach you, it is tied to an anonymous identity, and it is never sold, shared for advertising, or used to track you.

What we access

• Apple Health & workouts (read-only, with your permission): heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, respiratory rate, body metrics, and completed workouts. Ravns reads this to compute your readiness score and coach your training. It never writes to or modifies your Apple Health data.
• What you enter: your goals, race, preferences, meals, weigh-ins, and the messages you send the coach — including photos you choose to attach (e.g. a meal) so the coach can read them.

How it's identified

Ravns signs you in with an anonymous device identity. There is no email and no account to create, and no password to remember. Your data is keyed to that anonymous identifier so it can sync to your devices and inform the coach. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Onboarding does ask for a first name, so the coach can address you. It is optional, it is whatever you choose to type, and it is not verified against anything. If you give one it is stored with the rest of your data and syncs to the cloud, which means we can see it; it is not used to contact you, because we have no way to. Deleting your data deletes it, the same as everything else.

How AI coaching works

When you talk to the coach, the relevant slice of your data (your current numbers, plan, and recent history) is sent to our secure backend and to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the response. It is used only to answer you in that moment. It is not used to train external models.

Subscriptions

If you subscribe, Apple handles the payment — we never see or store your card details. Apple gives us a transaction identifier for your subscription, and we store that identifier (and when the subscription renews or ends) so the app knows what you have paid for, including after you reinstall. It is not linked to any name or email, because the app does not ask for either. The terms cover billing, renewal and cancelling.

Official race results

If you import a race, Ravns sends the name you search to a third-party service that publishes official race timing, so that it can find your result. We send only what you type to search and, once you pick your race, the identifier for that result. Nothing about your training, your health data, or your coach conversations goes with it.

What we keep is your own result, one record per race: the date, the event name as the timing provider gives it, your finish time, your run and station splits, and your overall placing. We keep it because a finished race is the most useful thing your plan and your coach can read, and because it cannot be reconstructed later from anything else on your phone. Other athletes' names and times appear while you are searching for yourself, so that you can find your own row. Those are never saved.

The record is stored on your device and in your cloud backup, and it stays until you remove it. To delete it, in the app go to menu → Your data → Delete all my data, which erases it on the device and in the cloud along with everything else. Race results are official timing data reached through a third-party service. Ravns is not affiliated with or endorsed by the event organiser.

What we don't do

• No selling or renting of your data.
• No advertising, ad networks, or cross-app tracking.
• No third-party analytics that identify you.

Your control

You can export a complete backup of your data from within the app at any time. To delete everything, in the app go to menu → Your data → Delete all my data — it erases your data on the device and in the cloud and starts you over. You can also email ryan@lastyeti.com.
